I just got an Edison Diamond Disc reproducer from ebay for $17.49!

Diamond Disc reproducers easily go for over $100. Just take a look at ebay or another auction site, and the evidence will show.

Yeah, the main concern is the diamond stylus. Also, the weight is nickel plated and the body is gold plated. But, if it plays a record well, then it is a good deal.

In the pictures it looks as if the floating weight is nickel plated, not gold. If the stylus is good it could still be a good deal, as it can be used for a different reproducer in better condition.

People use key words on EBay - drop the word Edison and they come up more often than you may think.

Hard to be sure in an online image, but the stylus looks to be replaced by a spike-like thing and a blob of solder - unless that's how a bare Edison Diamond looks (never saw a bare one!)

I assumed it was bare when i first saw it. Hopefully it is was I thought.
