I must agree with Edisone, the stylus sure looks like a very cheap repair job. Hope I'm wrong.
Be sure to closely examine the stylus on these reproducers if it is pictured. If it looks like anything but a good stylus, avoid it.
Good luck! Cliff

Put it in the empty run off area of a disc and give her a spin. That will show quickly if it's a diamond or a nail. I know, because i have one that looks similar and is a nail

Re: What A Steal!
After taking a closer look at the original photos of the eBay listing, I personally wouldn't allow this "dragon's tooth" to come within a mile of any record. It's a spike, and would be a great way to destroy both vertical and horizontal recordings, equally well.alang wrote:Put it in the empty run off area of a disc and give her a spin. Re: What A Steal!
Yes it is a real steal if the stylus is good. A Edison Diamond Disc reproducer with a good stylus will go for at least $100.00 as the stylus are around that price alone. If the reproducer is rebuilt it will probably sell for even more.

Here are the eBay seller's photos. Note the "stylus" - for lack of a better word (I called it a "dragon's tooth" with good reason). No disrespect meant for the OP.Victrolacollector wrote:Yes it is a real steal if the stylus is good.
