Orthophonic adapter

What does the adapter look like for an Orthophonic reproducer to be used on a non-orthophonic machine?

I assume you mean Victor Orthophonic on a pre-orthophonic Victor machine? You simply replace the rubber tonearm connector with that for a Victor #4 reproducer. The outside diameter is the same for both rubber connectors. Or if you prefer to build your own with silicone following Micamonster's instructions you only need the metal connector ring from a #2 or #4.

Thanks. Yes..thats what I meant. I thought that was the case but wasnt sure.

There is an metal adapter out there for Ortho -> old-style (or was it the other way 'round?) but I've not seen them for sale in a number of years.

Alternatively, swapping out the isolator does work (I've done it) but one has a slightly bigger outside diameter than the other and may need some minor re-working to fit.
