Interesting needle.

I found this little gem in an online auction and figured I'd post a few pictures. It's along the lines of the Everplay needle. Someone put an advert for chewing gum inside the lid. I wonder if it was the needle maker, or the company who made the boxes working some sort of deal. The needle itself sits in a groove on the shaft and is held in by a thumb screw. The top of the needle is threaded so length can be adjusted for the desired volume.

I see how you replace the tip, but how do you vary the tone? By how far you extend the tip?

The thumb screw is fixed and the back of the. Needle is threaded. The more you twist the more needle is exposed.

Personally, I wouldn't use this. I would display this as a curio. It sure is unusual.
