Hi all,
New to The Talking Machine Forum, although I've been around 78-L and phonolist far more years than I care to admit. Looking for an Oro-Phone lateral Edison DD adapter, manufactured by Oro-Tone in Chicago.
I have a Kent, but I'm unhappy with it, because of a design flaw that permits the soundbox to tilt at an angle. I've taken it apart (and cleaned/replaced the ancient vaseline) but the way the sectioned pieces fit together this seems unavoidable.
As best I can determine, the Oro-Phone does not suffer from this, and from what I've seen it has an 18mm bayonet mount that will accept Exhibition, No 2, and No 4 soundboxes.
Thanks,
Michael Shoshani

Although it's not for sale, I have an Orophone adapter and reproducer on my Beethoven, and it plays Victor and Columbia 78s like you wouldn't believe!!! I also have an earlier Orotone adapter, which is also very good, but the Orophone is meant to play the new electric records.
