Mystery Cylinder Reproducer

Post by AtariWizard »

Does anyone know what this reproducer might be? It has no markings, and the odd thing is it has no threaded hole for the tail weight to screw into. It also has a threaded ring on the inside presumably for the diaphragm. Any ideas on what it may be? Possibly dictaphone or columbia?

It's somebody's unfinished attempt at making an "Edison" reproducer.

I had never thought of it being homemade. It makes sense as the machine it came with had a homemade crank. Thankyou for your help identifying it. I almost want to try finishing it to see how it would work.
