I am looking to find a project that is not a $1000.00 investment.
I don't need anything flashy and rare. I just want a nice complete unit that has a crap cabinet.
I really want one with a large metal morning glory horn. I would like more than just a plain cabinet though. Maybe something with pillars?
Here are pics of the basic look... It does not need to be a certain brand.
Thanks and post pics of what you have with prices...
EDIT**** I will also be interested in other table top machines that need restoration like cylinder machines...

Re: Wanted: project
I have an Amberola 30 with a crap cabinet that I'd be happy to give you. It's substantially complete...I even rebuilt the reproducer and motor some years back. It just needs cabinet work.
Best,
Garret

Re: Wanted: project
Kirk, What's your budget for project machines like you've shown? Also, where are you located? It's very expensive to ship something like a Victor III. Do you get to any of the large shows? Jerry B.

Re: Wanted: project
Hey,
I dont travel much so no big shows... Wayne was my first and probably last for a while...
I would say a project budget is $1000.00. My thought is that I want a machine that is between $1000.00 and $2000.00 restored.
It is not to resell, I just dont want to pay $1000.00 for a project that is only worth $1100.00...

Kirk,
Maybe you don't travel much, but some of us do. Where are you located?

Ahhhh... A Long Islander...!!!
I was born and lived there for 34 Years in the Babylon/West Islip area before moving down here to Melbourne, Florida for a job in 2004.. ...Been here ever since... Where on Long Island are you located?? Nassau or Suffolk?? What town?? I still have lots of connections there!! Last time that I was there in 2009, I picked up an Edison Standard "D" 2/4 Minute machine. I carried it on the plane home!
