I have a lead on a Graphophone Model B with the case and horn innocent condition . They want $225.00 for it . I know nothing about Columbias. Is that a good price? Average price? The horn looks like the one used on a Gem. The black one with a gold band around it. Thanks
Here's a Couple of pictures. As you can see, there is a lot of playing wear.

That's a good price on a Model B Graphophone. It looks like it will clean up nicely. The black funnel horn was used on the Q and the B.

The belt cover is missing. That's $85-100. Wes

Thanks for pointing that out! Are they hard to find? Also, the seed on this one varies. Starts out fast, gets slow. And then speeds back up. Any ideas?

Well, probably not a great deal but, I bought it and think it's cool. It plays fine. The owner wasn't sure how to operate it . Needs a little tweaking but that's to be expected. The horn is a repro. If someone had a picture of the tag that is missing that mounts on the board in front of the machine, I would appreciate it . I'd like to find one. Thanks

Here's the plate you need:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/COLUMBIA-B-PHON ... Sw2gxY2dT-
Take your Eagle completely apart and clean it well. Some 0000 steel wool and metal polish will make a huge difference in its appearance, and proper lubrication after those gears have been cleaned with a toothbrush will help it play like a charm.
Here's the belt cover you need too:

Since these are offered by the same seller, make him an offer on both items. You'll save some shipping cost too...
Good luck!

Even if you have to buy the metal plate and gear cover, the price is not out of line. Except for a cleaning and tweaking, It's better than the average Model B. If the horn is original, that's even better.

That good to know! Unfortunately, the horn is a reproduction. Might have to bury it in the back yard for awhile
Are these the same horns used on the GEM ? Seems like the end that goes to the reproducer is smaller.
