Strange Edison Diamond Point
I found this going through some parts today. What is it? The diamond point stylus comes out of the arm. Is it just a holder for the Diamond Point stylus used on a reproducer or is it part of a reproducer?

The diamond point looks very much like those used in Pathé reproducers to play Diamond Discs. I assume it is on a shank that is held in place by the screw on the side.
The gadget looks to me like it is designed to hold one of these in place when the point is not in use. These points, like the Pathé sapphire balls in similar shanks are easily lost. Some collectors put tassels on phonograph keys for similar reasons.

Yes, the diamond point shank comes out. I just don't know if this is part of a reproducer or just a holder for the diamond point shank when not in use.
