Pathé Model XII restored
Just finished restoring a tiger oak Pathé Model XII. I labored long and hard over whether to sell it for parts or restore it as I bought it at an auction where no one else bid on it because it was in such terrible shape. Missing veneer, cracked in many places, but the motor was good. Someone replaced the original grill and hinge for the top. I was able to obtain a broken original grill and pieced that back into shape. Someone also had refinished the cabinet at some point. There were layers of a dirty gray on it and I couldn't even tell the top layer of veneer on the cabinet lid was missing until I stripped the old gunk off it. I veneered the top and completely redid the cabinet inside and out. The motor only required cleaning and lubricating thank goodness. In the end, I'm glad I rescued the old gal from the junk pile. Here's pics of before and after.

A Compliment not only for the NICE work you did but also for keeping it in existence, instead of taking the easy road and parting it out or re-purposing it. A Really Nice addition to any collection

You did a great job restoring it... thanks for not thinking of making it into a bar...

Awesome job. Most people would have just taken the parts off and tossed the rest. You did an amazing job of bringing it back to life.
