So far, no responses on my contest, so that’s still open.

In the meantime, I bring you something I had fun playing with for any Zon-o-phone fans out there. First, the label:

(Click on the image or this link for a 2320 x 2320 PNG [6.7 MB].)

And as an added bonus, here is a vectorized version of the logo from it:

(Click on the image or this link for a 3057 x 2137 PNG [5.2 MB].)

Both are now in the stock avatar gallery (‘labels’ and ‘logos’, respectively).

Enjoy.

Here’s another Zonophone from gramophoneshane’s collection:

Stay tuned for more labels.

Finally, here are a couple of images of a label graciously provided by 3victrolas that I have been wanting to share with you for quite some time (although I wanted to post them together).

First, we have the regular default circular-cut transparency:

Image

(Click on the image or this link for a 1640 x 1640 pixel PNG of it [4.5 MB].)

As an added bonus, I also cut out the label artwork:

(Click on the image or this link for a 1369 x 1369 pixel PNG of it [3.1 MB].)

And of course, both have been added to the stock avatar gallery under ‘labels’.

Expect many more to come!

Here’s another quick one from the John’s YouTube channel scan collection. Kirkwood had asked me for a Perfect label for his avatar, and this was the first (and perhaps best) one of my scans that I was able to come across:

This record was issued circa late 1930.

As an added bonus, you can watch (and hear) it on YouTube, as played on John’s Columbia 163 portable, not far from where I am typing this.

I happened across another interesting label that had been posted elsewhere by Shane, and I wanted to cut it out:

I’d try to translate it, but my Chinese is even more feeble than my Japanese. ;)

One more Telefunken, since it's of a piece with the above two.

OK—thanks for the images; let’s have a Telefunken triple feature:

Thanks to you guys, at the rate we’re going, we’ll eventually have a different record label avatar for every day of the week, should someone wish to cycle through them. :D

Keep them coming; I’ve enjoyed cutting these out (and I have quite a few of my scans left to do, as well)!

An early Mauve Victor "Melba" record ca.1906 I'm not sure how long these were in the catalog, but they began issuing her records on standard red labels soon enough.
