VICTOR RADIO CABINET AT LOCAL AUCTION

Post by toydk »

I saw this little cabinet at a local auction house. Too bad the works are no longer in it. It is apparently a wine cabinet now? Any idea what model/year this was?

1931 Model R-15, made by Victor before RCA acquired the company. One of the last Victor's. For more details, see: http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/rca_r15.html

Chassis was a very reliable and good performing version with precision synchronous Tuned Radio Frequency tuning system. It, and the companion models, were popular and many are still around. Same chassis was used in several models for 1930 and 1931, which occasionally appear at radio collector shows and on Ebay, Etsy, Craigslist, etc.
