WANTED: Orthophonic back bracket tone arm support

Post by apruizii »

Does anyone have the back bracket tone arm support of the overhang/pin variety for an Othophonic Victrola VV 4-3?

I would really appreciate it!

Thanks,

Ron sells very nice ones and reasonably priced. I used one of his on my Credenza. The old ones being pot metal have usually swollen and are difficult to remove in one piece.

Phonogal,

Yeah, Ron is going to get back to me when he get's in on Monday. But he mentioned $70-$80 plus shipping shipping, depending on the size that fits the VV 4-40. Does that price sound right...I'm thinking it's on the high side? Is the bracket you got from him a reproduction?

Thanks,

AR

That's what they sell for. Generally speaking, Ron usually has the lowest price around.

You pretty much have to buy a reproduction because the originals have mostly crumbled to dust by now.
