Metal or Wood grill for Amberola V???

My Amberola V is missing the front grill. How do I know if I need a wood one or a metal version? Is the width of the slot a clue? It makes sense that the wood would require a thicker slot to hold it. Does anyone with a V care to measure the slot and tell me if they have wood or metal? I don't have the cabinet here or I would provide pics. I am hoping to look for a grill at Union.

Most had wood, very few had metal. Yours *most likely* had a wood one. I don't how to tell for sure, unfortunately.

Mine is wood. It matches the wood case and has no fabric since the internal horn has woodgrain painting on it. At least on the top and sides. The bottom seems to have had the paint eaten away by dirt.
