Please remember to post pics of items referred to in links... That way, when the online links or pics disappear, there will be an ongoing record.

As well as the EMG's there are a couple of portables (HMV 102 and Linguaphone) and some very desirable records, from Caruso on red G&T to Florence Foster Jenkins on Melotone.
This sale looks to me as if someone's prized collection is being dispersed, but who's?

The sale prices, assuming that the items did sell, are not on the auctioneer's website at the time of posting this. Does anyone know the results?

Yes, the "Mark 9" made just under £2000 (with comms. included) whilst the "Mark 10B" ended up at £8000.epigramophone wrote:The sale prices, assuming that the items did sell, are not on the auctioneer's website at the time of posting this. Does anyone know the results?

Thanks Steve. £8000 is strong money for a 10B. It must have been a good one.

It wasn't all that wonderful to be honest. The horn could have been better. It made me wonder what a fabulous machine like that might have fetched in the same sale. £10,000 maybe? As you say, it is a very strong price either way.epigramophone wrote:Thanks Steve. £8000 is strong money for a 10B. It must have been a good one.
