In the truck today we were talking about the top wind AJ's that we saw at Union. Should all top wind machines have leather elbows or is the brass elbow also correct?
Thanks, Jerry B.

They should have a leather elbow. But they could be updated with a brass elbow and corresponding horn as an upgrade.

I had two of them at various times and they both had the brass elbow. Others I have seen on eBay had it too. Can't recall a leather one.

Mine has an original leather elbow & is not the earliest version as it doesn't have a record holddown...........

Mine has a leather elbow, although I don’t believe it is original.
