Been restoring this Humanola for the past several months and finally finished it.
Everything on this machine was damaged, banged-up -- tone arm in two pieces, motor in pieces, grill mangled, front legs all beat-up, finish horrible, several trim pieces missing, speed control broken in two, lid hinge bent and screws ripped out, deep grooves in the wood below the brake, door hinge screws ripped out and knob missing, on and on. At any rate it was a fun project and now lives to play again. Ron S. fixed the motor, George V. had a replacement speed control, crank and escutcheon. I was able to repair the tone arm.
Here are a few photos. This will be my last restoration I swear.....

It looks great. What did you use for a filler?

4 coats of sprayed shellac at a 1.5 lb cut. Sanded between coats of course. Then rubbed out usingDjango wrote:It looks great. What did you use for a filler?

I really like that cabinet design. Sort of playful. Restoration job looks like it's going as good as humanola-y possible.

Thanks - It caught my eye on CL, I liked the curves and it is rather small. Cheers
