Still trying to figure out what in that post would be considered offensive... I find eBay Crap-O-Phone listings offensive, along with a boatload of other fraudulent listings... Oh  , maybe it's Brandine that is offensive or the hokey language or the Indian Crap-O-Phone maker...

I guess I don't get being "offended" when I'm not forced to participate...

Some people unfortunately get their feather ruffled way too easily and walking away just never occurs to them....

George Carlin did a good job of mocking one such individual here-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pusyHn9S_L0

I don't find this offensive at all. I think it it downright hilarious. If people are offended, then don't read the post. If that's the case, then ban all post with crap-o-phones, monstrosities, and other types of humor. I get sick and tired of PC BS. If that's the case, let the offended person go into their safe place, close the door, sing kum-ba-ya, and look for unicorns and rainbows, and everything will be Ok. Let the Forum be a fun place to learn, trade ideas and some humor. I know I am going to get flak for this, but I don't care. Just my 2 cents worth.

Apparently no one told them that if you don't like a thread you don't have to look at it and you can go to another thread!

If you read Brandon's post again then you will see that your post was taken down because of some of the attached pictures. I am sure it was not because of the Crapophone pictures or the text of the eBay post, but rather because of the non-phonograph related pictures of people. I am quite certain that this was also why eBay took your post down, not because they want to protect Crapophone sellers.

I understand that everyone's humor is different, but the forum represents our hobby and all members to the public, and it is Brandon's right and duty to keep it comfortable for all members. So yes, there has to be some level of political correctness so the forum can survive and thrive. While I did not complain about this post I can understand why people found parts of it offensive and I want to commend Brandon once again for doing a great job, even if it is not always popular with all.

Thanks Brandon!

Yes cause ebay is so known for removing fraudulent machines and promptly responding to reports of fakes among it's auctions......

For example all of us probably remember this little piece of fraudulent garbage and how responsive ebay was to all our warnings this machine was a fraud-http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... 14&t=19000

Be exact it was what inspired my auction shortly there after, just because ebay will not stop fraud.

By the way both times ebay cancelled my auctions it did it on the grounds people reading it might go outside of ebay and search for the terms I listed and get "confused". Yeah cause it is so "confusing" to understand what a crapophone is.....

Spare me the nonsense that ebay didn't end my warning auctions because it cut into their profits.

Yes some humor on one thread somehow threatened everything and this website would collapse if allowed to continue.... Yet somehow six other collectors not counting myself did not have a problem with the humor at all.....

The problem is we have a lot of people who do not have the maturity to if they don't like a thread just go to another thread. Maybe they should post on here who they were and quit being anonymouse complainers. If you don't like something speak out for we can all hear you.

Political correctness is fascism of thought by any other name and it needs to be ground in the dust whenever encountered.

How about we just get back to phonograph and record info and fun. The non-phonograph pictures don't really need to be here and I think we should just get back to business. :D :) ;)

We were having fun and we were discussing crapophones which is certainly part of the business.

Are you telling me pictures were eating up so much storage space they had to go?? They were part of the humor and the discussion. Short of that what was the issue besides they offended the perpetually offended crowd.

Enough! Your logic makes absolutely no sense. If someone were to post photos of a person being graphically dismembered, or perhaps partially censored pornography, you're telling me that's ok and if someone doesn't like it they shouldn't look? That's now how this works! Every thread on this forum needs to have a basic sense of decorum as it represents all of us, not just you. The photos you posted were tasteless and have no place here. This crusade is fruitless, so please move on.
