A very interesting and informative essay. I think that every collector of any type of antique or objet d'art might benefit from reading it. There is, after all, no royal road to connoisseurship, though we who collect mass produced objects actually have it easier than many others.

Very interesting, especially the topic of intuition and trust on the first article. Most of its main assertions are applicable to our hobby.

The second article is more arid, but nevertheless I learned about the levels of tacit knowledge, and their application to establish a hierarchy in the expertise.
