Something about this machine(probably the horn opening) reminds me of the Cylo-phone cabinets.
Anyone know anything about it?
I don't have any room for a machine this size, but it sure is pretty.
Looks like the exterior has been refinished and the grill is missing.

I believe it is a Cylo-phone. The horn opening is nearly the same as the two offered at Union this year. If the price is right, if not you, someone else should get it. Care to provide a link?

Apologies, my eye drifted right over it. Price wise, it's just fine IMHO. They could do better, but the asking price is around right.Mr Grumpy wrote:There's a link at the bottom of my post, is it not working?RolandVV-360 wrote:I believe it is a Cylo-phone. Somebody needs to grab it before it gets made into a makeup stand...

I believe that you are confusing the Cylo-phone with the Keen-o-phone. There were indeed two different Keen-o-phone models there this year, highly unusual for the Union show.RolandVV-360 wrote:I believe it is a Cylo-phone. Re: Unique Machine on Craigslist - Cylo-phone????
A Cyl-O-Phone is a Herzog cylinder cabinet (the Cyl stands for cylinder) which also holds a cylinder machine and uses a built in horn which exits through the side.
This is not a Cyl-O-Phone, however, it appears to be an extremely high end phonograph with an unusual cabinet. The carvings around the horn opening are great and the legs are extremely nice. I have no idea what make it actually is, but if I lived anywhere nearby, I would be all over it... It appears to be complete, but not working, which is probably due to a spring being broken. Somebody please go get it....
