New Spring for VV-50

Post by louflees »

I have a VV-50 with a broken spring. I've been emailing someone who says he can make me a new one but he wants to know the dimensions.

Does anyone know how long the spring on the VV-50 is? I tried to measure it and near as I can tell it's 15 feet long.

Or does anyone know of a good spring supplier I can trust to get me the right spring?

Ron Sitko. You'll find his contact information under the "Links" tab below, then under "Repairs, Parts, Dealers...":

If it is a front crank model it uses the same motor as the contemporary VV-IV. Both use 1"x15' springs. I would call Ron Sitko and order one. Be sure to tell him if the outer end has a hole or a hook at the outer end. The change was made sometime during the run of the front-crank VV-50. As I understand it, the side crank model has a completely different motor although I've never owned one to know for sure what it is.
