I wanted nothing to do with the VV-240 humpback because it was converted (electric) and butchered in the late 1940's. All I was interested in was the VV-50 portable. But all the original VV-240 parts were packed in a big box plus all the albums behind the doors were in mint condition and she said just take them all. It wasn't until I got home I found a total of 6 Edison Needle Type 78's inside the smaller albums. All 6 also in near mint condition plus an unused Victor record log book! My new motto = never ever pass up talking machine junk

Can you post close ups of all the Edison records you found there? I'd love to see what you got. I got three needle-cut Edisons myself this weekend at the APS show. Marc.

Like everything, prices can vary. I would say an Edison needle-cut record in E to E+ condition with the original sleeve is worth at least $50. Hot titles can top $100 and more. Of course, if two collectors get into a bidding war, anything can happen.
