A rare and highly regarded machine for which I have no room, otherwise I would snap it up :

That's an unusual machine... throw something else out and make room for it...

I have one of these, it has the most complicated mechanical break design I ever saw. It is not a run-of-the-mill machine made by a furniture company with third-party parts: apart from the enormous Paillard motor, everything else was made by Bassano, tone arm, soundbox, break etc. And the cabinet quality is very high besides its classy looks.

There was a discussion on Bassanophone in here http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... ssanophone

I'm the lucky owner of one of these (the one in the thread CarlosV posted) and I love mine. Fascinating machine, ahead of its time in a few ways, and the auto stop actually works well once it's adjusted. Anyone able to should snatch it up. Also, note the nice big flat top--perfect for using to put another machine on top if space is at a minimum!
