I have one of these, it has the most complicated mechanical break design I ever saw. It is not a run-of-the-mill machine made by a furniture company with third-party parts: apart from the enormous Paillard motor, everything else was made by Bassano, tone arm, soundbox, break etc. And the cabinet quality is very high besides its classy looks.

I'm the lucky owner of one of these (the one in the thread CarlosV posted) and I love mine. Fascinating machine, ahead of its time in a few ways, and the auto stop actually works well once it's adjusted. Anyone able to should snatch it up. Also, note the nice big flat top--perfect for using to put another machine on top if space is at a minimum!
