I am offering an Edison Model 'B' 2 minute REPRODUCTION reproducer for sale, asking $179 (OBO) including postage to a USA address. The stylus is in excellent condition, plays loud and clear.

What's the serial number on the reproducer? I don't see one on the top.

There is no serial number as far as I can tell. Should there be a serial number? Cliff

I don't profess to be an expert on reproducers but the slightly pebbled nature of the weight, the design of the stamping (which looks molded in rather than stamped), and the lack of serial number make me suspect this one is a reproduction.

Rene pointed out some important details. Without an S/N, I think it is a reproduction. Not to mention the weight and markings on it. There is an article about that in the Complete Talking Machine by Eric Reiss. That is where I got my information from.
