Which one is the real deal ?

Post by briankeith »

The bottom (smaller) chip brush came with my Edison Model A Triumph (inside the case) - the top one I bought on EBay and is marked 1 ⅛. The bottom one has no markings but the original owner of the phonograph stated that it was always with the Triumph since he had it and his father before him. Which is real ?

The top one (marked 1 ⅛) is the style I've usually seen with Edisons, but who is to say they didn't just buy lots of whatever brush was cheap that month. Edison didn't make them, in any event.
