FOR SALE: NEW FIBER GEAR for Berliner

Hello Everybody!!

I am in way to create new gear to remplace the "original fiber gear" all the time dead on Berliner machine.
My material is a very new material. Like a Polymer but more resistant and self-oiled material.
The gear is made by a very complex machine and processus.

If the test is concluding.
I can sell all over the world new gear for Berliner.
I can create exactly a new gear, if you send to me, your original destroyed gear. (but the gear must be, not totally destroyed).

I think of a price of 170€ with postal charge include. (depend of the gear)

Last time I bought a new Berliner fiber gear from Ron he informed me that the gear I had purchased was his last one and that he would likely not be getting any more. I believe Ron told me at that time that his source (the guy that had made the Berliner fiber gears) was no longer making them. Seems to me it was a guy in Canada but I could be wrong. This was a while ago (maybe a year ago or more) so it's possible that he (Ron) has found another supplier of the gears since the time I bought his last one.

Thanks a lot Curt! I think that, the idea is not useless. Maybe, in USA, you have a producer of this type of gear. But in Europe, nobody make this. And my price is low in comparison of what i have seen.
And a lot of producer are old... Maybe the new generation must take the succession!

It was long and difficult to choose a good material. At the beggening i have choose Polyoxymethylene, but not enought strong for me. I don't remember the exact name of the material but, i have choose a material 10 more strong in comparison of the Polyoxymethylene. And self-oiled, and wear resistant.

The problem is that all of producer are not immortal. The new generation must take the succession. I would like to produce them perfectly and in very good material. Because, parts of phonograph can be my futur job. So...

Delrin? I've used Delrin to make governor gears for other machines. I'm told the results have been good. (I did this for others. Haven't made or used any for myself.)

Are you personally making these, or do you have a source? Not trying to be nosy. It's just as you say, not many people know how to do this. It takes some skill, but it's not so difficult as it is expensive for the equipment. Best of luck to you. Glad you're making these available.
