Somewhat O/T - Video Technic spawns brief Phono Exhibition

Well it's happened again. A couple video tecnicians came to help me link a downstairs satellite connection to our upstairs tv.

On the first visit they couldn't complete the job so they showed up again today, two weeks later.

Surprisingly one of them was carrying a plastic bucket full of 78's, a hundred or more. Most are in Czech or Russian, from the 40s and later, nothing special but he said, "They are for you."

So, I thought, here's my chance. Pointing to my Vic V I asked them, one about 25 and the other about 40 if they'd ever heard one of these? They said no, so I a grabbed a nice waltz, inserted a soft tone needle and let my vic V show it's stuff. After about 30 seconds both of them turned away and got back to work on my video problem. I stopped the machine about half way through the record. Neither of them made any comment.... When will I learn?
