Shouldn't this be in the yankee trader section?

Perhaps, but it always seems strange that the parts or machines are high end, which makes me wonder if it's ignorance, or a feeling of superiority because their "wants" are more important than anyone elses.

If it said "need new needle for grandmas record player", sure... but hard to play "innocent new guy" when you're looking for something as specific as a "4 min reproducer for a model 102 hexaphone".

Maybe because this section gets more attention than the Yankee Trader section like approximately 14,000 more postings.

Re: Regina Hexaphone
By the way...what would the value be of a reproducer for a model 102 Hexaphone? What would a good condition Hexaphone go for these days? Any ideas?

Perhaps there isn't a directly relationship between collecting 19th and early 20th century mechanical music devices and knowledge of 21st century message board custom/usage?phonophan79 wrote:If it said "need new needle for grandmas record player", sure... but hard to play "innocent new guy" when you're looking for something as specific as a "4 min reproducer for a model 102 hexaphone".
