Wanted to Borrow/Buy: Various Discs

Post by donniej »

Dear friends,
Below is a short list of songs that hopefully someone will be willing to loan or sell so that they can be duplicated. Surely many of us would be excited to be able to play copies of these on vintage equipment.

Come Josephine in my Flying machine
In my Merry Oldsmobile
Over on the Jersy side
Hello Ma Baby (or Hello My Baby)
Daisy Bell
A Hot Time In The Old Town
Turkey In The Straw (some versions already available)
At A Georgia Camp Meeting
Dem Golden Slippers
Casey At The Bat
Ragtime Medley

I have Edison DD, O, Dem Golden Slippers, 52174 1928, sung by Vernon Dalhart & Co., but don't' know if it's the one you want. Marc C.

I was hoping to find it on 7" disc, I believe Silas Leachman performed it.

This is a pretty cool project. I'd certainly enjoy a copy of the Georgia Camp-Meeting.

Seriously, Mr Wilson, you need a website! People outside of the Talking Machine Forum might buy these.

Thank you!! I have Georgia Camp Meeting on Berliner, but the start is pretty worn.

Yea, I know I need a website, and an Ebay store, and a commercial paypal account, and one less job :coffee:

PS. The "nearly up to date" list of available discs is attached. By the end of next week it should pass 155!!
