Are the hardware items on this model unique to that model? I am looking at the side handle and wondering if it is the same as used on other models. Asking for a friend. No kidding, he can only get on the internet when he visits his daughter.

Re: Columbia BC Hardware Question
Of the several front mount Columbia's we have, they all have the same handle as the BC except: The backing bezels are fancy on the front mounts and plain on the BC and the mounting hinge is different. I hope that helps.

Re: Columbia BC Hardware Question
Well that's interesting. I've owned a couple of BCs and seen many more, but I've never seen bezels like that! Is that by chance a very late BC?
Here's the only type I've encountered:

Re: Columbia BC Hardware Question
Well, that is good news about the handle. What about side latches and hinges? Are they unique? For some reason, all his hardware is missing.
Thanks for taking the time to shoot photos and respond.

Re: Columbia BC Hardware Question
Geo, The serial number of our BC is 6794. I don't know what how that relates to being early or late. Cheers, Russie

Re: Columbia BC Hardware Question
Thanks Russie. That number is slightly over midway through BC production, so this is a mystery.
