The 10-69 Automatic Electrola which used Victor’s second style changer was released in the fall of 1928.
1882 units were sold according to information published by Bob Baumbach in his Victor Data Book. The first version contains a changer with a record repeat function, the repeat function was deleted from later production and the front escutcheon no longer has “repeat” on it. Victor issued a recall to retrofit the earlier mechanism to disable the repeat function.
I’m curious about how many 10-69’s have survived and which version they are.
If you’d like to help with my quest please submit your entry either here or to my email address, [email protected]
Please include the serial number, wether is has a repeat function on the control panel or not and the general condition. Let me know if you would like to remain anonymous.
Thanks for your help!

Re: Automatic Electrola VE-10-69 Registry
Hey Mark,
There are a number of limited production units out there-why not add the VE-9-54-E and the RAE series as well. And if you could how about the VE-9-25-E.
Just kidding, but I think it would be great if we had a separate header for machines that are early electronic for those of us that have gotten into that area. I think we area small but growing group

Re: Automatic Electrola VE-10-69 Registry
Good ideas!
There are many collectors of the big Electrolas, a separate section on this board might be in order. There was a very active Electrola message board for years but the attendance has dwindled since this forum started.
I want to test the waters with the 10-69 first, we can start separate threads for the 9-25, 9-55 and 9-54 and others if this is a success.

I'd suggest you start by contacting the person who runs the victor-victrola website. He asks people who have specific models to provide him with data. Perhaps he'd be willing to share that data with you.

Re: Automatic Electrola VE-10-69 Registry
I have for years given data for all my machines to the Victor /Victrola web page but unfortunately nothing has ever come it.
I would rather see that information here where everyone who wants it can use it.

You might as well add the 9-55, 9-56 and 10-70's to that list.need4art wrote:I would like to see that happen-input collectors-10-50's, Re-45, Re-57 there's lots of machines out there that we could talk about!

Re: Automatic Electrola VE-10-69 Registry
Thanks for all the helpful suggestions but I’d like to suggest that we confine our discussions here to the 10-69 since it is listed in the subject of this thread. Other threads for the additional Electrolas would be great and welcome!
Here are photos of the first submission. A nice example with the original albums and original red grille cloth in fine shape.
The owner needs a pair of the record support horns for the changer if anyone can help out.
Keep the entries coming!
