How long do the batteries last? Is there a way to recharge them?

I am not sure as I had them on for a while when I was working on it. I ran at least 20 record thou.. The batteries in the dummy battery are common nine volt and common 1.5 volt flashlight batteries. I used two 1.5 batteries in parallel to last longer. It takes ten nine volt batteries to get to 90 volts. If anything goes bad and the batteries corrode then at least it is kept to inside the box. I guess if you wanted you could get a bunch of rechargeable ones but I heard there voltage may be lower than there rating after a few charges and they do not last as long. I think if I used it occasionally with regular batteries they should last a while.

I ended up using two "B XX45" wrappers and an "A 1 ½" but the 6TA60 is definitely ideal. Looks like it is out of stock at the moment but I will try and place an order.

I tried one of those trans oceanic batteries but it had to be really modified and was a real tight fit. I was shaving the wood supports to get it in. It was about ¼ inch off. There are labels that can go over a box and make it look nice. He made a whole box up for me and I had to furnish and mount the power plug. I glued it in and it works OK. Tom
