Vermont to Wayne delivery

Post by GregVTLA »

There's a Victrola I would really like to buy, but it's in Ferrisburg, Vermont and I'm in MD. Would anyone be going to the show from Vermont so they could pick it up and deliver it? It's a rather large piece in raggedy shape but it needs some love. Any help would be really appreciated!

Hi Greg, you should appeal to our Canadian Collector friends! That location is ⅔ of the way up VT! Quite a few Canadians come to the show.

Good to hear that some folks come that way. If anyone is up to the task, please PM me or reply to this topic. I’ll leave it as a surprise but it’s a large floor model. Willing to compensate for going out of your way.

You are a brave man. I wish that I had the room, but my vehicle is full and it is about 2 hours in the wrong direction. Your courage and optimism is to be commended. Good luck.

Thank you! I really can't afford to spend much more than like $150 on any given machine since I've got a very small budget as a young collector, so I start with machines that aren't quite as nice and work from there. I think I could fix this one if I were able to get it. Besides, it's very rewarding to bring them back from the brink. I'll PM you some pictures, but I don't want anyone to swipe in and take this beast for themselves .

That’s the one. I would love to see is revived. I hope that it works out for you.

Thanks! There's no way I'm going to be able to make the trip but if I can get someone to deliver I'll work some magic that I don't yet possess ;)
