What’s this? Bing Pygmyphone, or toy phono, or...?

Post by PeterF »

This recently turned up in a box of miscellaneous parts. It looks a bit like the reproducer/arm piece from a Bing Pygmyphone, but I’m not sure.

Does anyone have a more definitive ID? I’ll be passing it along to whoever needs it, but want to be sure I properly identify it.

Thanks.

I could be wrong but I think it's for a Bing. I have the metal can and motor (not working I believe) that I can add to the project.

Ah, fun! Can you please post a picture or two when you have the time?

The reproducer and arm look very similar, but not identical to that of my Bing Pigmyphone. Could also be from a Kiddiephone or from one of several similar products made in the US.

Yes indeed, this doesn't match the Pigmyphone examples here or elsewhere on the web. The Kiddiephone pix I find seem closer.
