I am looking to purchase (for my own collection) a Model M portable, in mint condition. The picture shown is from the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
If you have one for sale, please email me directly, including pictures, price & location. Please do not send a PM as I am unable to answer them from my smartphone.
thanks,
Raphael

Hi Ray,
I believe you mean Vassos. This phono was designed by John Vassos.

You are 100% correct. I still have embedded in my memory from the 1970’s, selling to a Greek shipowner, one of whose vessels was the MT THASSOS. And he still owes me money, which probably explains why I’ve never forgotten him or the ship, haha.edisonclassm wrote:Hi Ray,

Contact the boys from American Pickers
They purchased one on an episode that aired recently.

I did see that but the piece they acquired had some issues. I am looking for an absolute mint machine.Phono-Phan wrote:Contact the boys from American PickersThey purchased one on an episode that aired recently.
