Quite a bargain I would say. I have seen a couple of these more ornate versions in both large and small sizes here in southern illinois over the years at shops. They were usually fairly priced but often in poor shape at best due to being in farm or country homes. Thats the scourge of living in rural sections that were always pretty poor. Conditions of things are usually much worse than you would find in a major city. Plus more limited. No doubt to me that Silvertone was a pretty fair machine as far as the running gear went. I had one oak tabletop from a farm sale and it was the best, clearest sounding portable type machine I ever owned.
