Columbia Piano Style Phonograph

This would be fun to restore but it looks like the inside was
chewed by a wild animal. $500 is pretty steep for just the cabinet.
What is a fair price you guys think for this wild animal chewed
piano looking phonograph cabinet?

I'm guessing since there is no picture the cabinet was completely devoured. $500 might not be a bad price for that, however, I may have a better deal for you, I have bridge in Brooklyn for sale

It is hard to tell from the pictures the exact condition, from what I can see the exterior appears sound, but may have been stripped of it's original finish. If there is chew damage inside, that can easily be repaired in such a way to make it disappear to the eye.

I don't know if the works are anything unique so I don't know if getting the works will be difficult or not.

I have always been intrigued by the unusual phonograph cases and have been looking for piano machine but have never come across one.

It looks like a fun project to tackle.

$500 seems a dear price for this. You may try and take a look at it and offer a fair number that you are willing to pay or walk away from, or low ball it and leave your number.

it also appears the horn is missing...that alone would keep me miles away from that machine. And I don't think there really is anything that is relatively common that could be close enough to be a substitute...

For that reason alone, $500 is far more than I would even consider.

Yeah, I noticed the missing horn too. A motor is no problem but finding an original
horn for that would be practically impossible I would imagine. I would be worried
about paying $50 for it even, considering the costs involved to bring it back to
functionality.

That most probably had a Hi-Fi installed in the 1960's- I've seen two other piani cased machines converted that way.
