Mahogany 1918 or 1920 VV VI inside Udell Works cabinet

I found at an Estate sale VV VI, Look for the Dog says 1918 only year they used Mahogany ,
Victor data book does not state at least i can't find it ? It tells me according to serial number block 1920 ? Can someone confirm solid information ? This machine has been encapsulated in side a Udell works cabinet a time capsule for 100 years and virtually looks :shock: new !!

Victor Talking Machine could pull some crazy mess in the manufacturing department. Just because the books don't show it, doesn't mean it couldn't exist.

Pictures please! Sounds like a real beaut--and a mahogany finish that actually isn't cracked would be stunning!

No cracks it looks brand new , will post some photos tomorrow , my wife has a real nice digital camera much better than my I phone No doubt the real McCoy !!

Here are Pictures .The adapter pictured is to extend the crank out the cabinet
with the use of the original escutcheon. The ID tag was moved under the turntable and engraved in the cabinet lightly was the serial # of the machine, unfortunately 2 tag nails were missing I need to find them ..Yankee trader I know!! Just sayin.

Udell Works of Indianapolis IN made lots of piano roll and record cabinets in their furniture line so a record player storage cabinet seems right up their alley. Always seemed to make nicely built products from simple Arts & Crafts to highly ornate things. Started in Chicago and moved to Indiana in 1873. Also known for their bookcases and desks.
