Odd machine. Who owns the name "Phonograph"

Wasnt "Phonograph" as a name used to describe record players owned exclusively by Edison?

That's a European knock-off, more closely-related to a Graphophone than a Phonograph. The banner decal is very similar to a Graphophone decal. Using the term 'Phonograph' I suspect is a bit of marketing sleaziness that perhaps was in direct proportion to the physical distance from Orange.
