WANTED: Mahogany Cabinet to fit a Victor VI (LOS ANGELES)

Post by nipper81 »

Hi I am looking for a Mahogany cabinet to fit my Victor VI. Preferably with the original finish, and nothing too shiny. Need one asap. Thanks so much. Should me a message if you have one, and we can go from there. I live in Los Angeles, CA.

I've always been a proponent of editing your profile to give a general location where we live. It doesn't do much good to offer a $600 cabinet that costs $800 to ship. Just a friendly suggestion to everyone. It could be something generic like "I live just over an hour south of Portland, OR." Jerry Blais

I've never understood the big secrecy in at least stating what city or state you are located.
I generally don't bother answering a post if there is no location information.
But I've always wanted to make this comment, and now I have.. lol.

Well, I'll pile on too - although with no offense meant to the OP...or anyone for that matter.

The Profile of this forum could be such a useful benefit for members, but it seems less than 10% of members fill it out. I too have not answered requests for assistance simply because the general location involved was not disclosed.

There are many, many folks on this forum who are willing to lend a hand, but it's up to the one asking for help to make it as easy as possible.

Now my rant's over too! :)

I agree with both you and Jeff, I do not know why it is so hard to complete your location in the profile. It is not like we will show up in the cover of darkness and take all our phonographs... However, what it does do is give an opportunity for those people that find they live close to each other to meet, show off collections and share ideas. Isn't that the purpose of a Forum????

My 2 cents...
