Can anyone tell me anything about this machine? Are they rare? About what are they worth? I know a lot of you knock on craigslist but I have now found this one and a vic 2 humpback for the same price.

They're only asking $75 for it. Go ahead and get it. Even if you wind up parting it out you'll get more than that out of it.

DON'T WALK, RUN!!!
The Victor P (Premium) was a machine manufactured to be sold to companies that would use it as a promotional or "give-away" item.

From what I can tell, it all looks authentic!
(I'm wondering if the seller accidentally dropped a zero from his listed price!)

Re: Victor P
Someone near me posted a decent looking Standard Model A Talking Machine for $400- I never heard back from them and the ad was pulled in a couple hours. I wonder if they were just trolling.

The same machine appears to have just been listed on ebay #190415818039. I don't know if it was the original guy or somebody trying to turn it over quickly.

No, the machine was listed for sale by the original poster of this thread, who apparently was looking for some advice as to pricing for a quick turn-over.rbuck wrote:The same machine appears to have just been listed on ebay #190415818039. Note that the BIN price on the eBay listing is $1,000.00.

Re: Victor P
It does appear that way. I just don't understand the need to be deceptive. A simple "I have this machine that I'm looking to sell, could you tell me what a fair price is so I don't get ripped of?" would have probably had resulted in an honest appraisal.brianu wrote:did you read the post above yours? apparently the douche who started this thread claiming to have found the craigslist listing (and soliciting value advice for a machine he was considering buying) was actually the same person who created the craigslist listing (and was just soliciting advice here on how to value a machine he already owned and was looking to sell... which he now is doing on ebay). at least, that appears to be what the uncle is saying.antique1973 wrote:The post was deleted, did you buy it???
