Hi, here is info about my current B:


Edison Spring Motor/Triumph Questionnaire
1) Serial number (found on top): 70241
2) Is serial number stamped in a plate, or a raised boss? plate
3) If stamped in a plate, what’s the last patent date? May 22, 1906
4) Does straight edge (where front of reproducer carriage rides) have 2 screws? no
5) Does the upper casting have lugs for Class M pulley wheels? no
6) Which secures the endgate; a ball catch, or a locking lug? lug
7) Does carriage hold the reproducer with nickeled clips, or a single screw at 2:00 position? retrofitted with horizontal carriage and 2/4 gearing; screw
8) Motor number (found stamped on front of motor frame): 53514
9) Are the motor gears solid or spoked? solid
10) If there’s a plate below the mandrel, what exactly does it say? none
11) Which does the cabinet have; a drawer, a banner decal, or an “Edison” script decal? script decal, but I'm fairly confident it's been refinished
12) Are there any dated material with it? Invoices? Packing slips? Writing inside the lid? no

George, as you may remember I have a model E and wondered if you want any information from this model. I confess though not being educated in the subject some of the questions I don't understand. Perhaps once I poke around things will be made clear? PS Anthony Sinclair told me he had ten Triumphs so you need to talk to him perhaps. ha ha Neil

Sure, I'd be pleased to have data on your Model E. Actually, if it's easier, just send me a couple of pictures of the top works, with at least one showing the entire data plate. Then all I'd need is the motor number, found on the front of the silver motor frame (it's staring you in the face when you lift up the motor frame). Thanks!
