WANTED: Thorens Excelda Spring Barrel

I was tinkering with my first portable Thorens Excelda phonograph to oil it and learn more about how it works. I thought I had fully unwound it and suddenly heard a sharp unraveling sound while taking off the spring barrel. The governor is fine but now the spring won't wind up. The spring is probably either broken or has become dislodged inside the barrel.

Does anyone have a spring barrel?

Sounds like you need a spring, not a spring barrel.

Yeah, I haven't ever replaced a spring and was looking to get a quicker fix by just swapping out the barrels. I may end up just figuring out how to take off the barrel cover and tackle the spring removal and replacement.
