Is this VV-230 Circassian Walnut?
It sure looks like the same wood as my Circassian L-door.

This VV-230 in Circassian Walnut is stunningly beautiful. I envy you and I hope you derive as much pleasure owning it as I would.

Definitely walnut.
I'm not normally a fan of horizontal consoles, but that's one I'd make room for!

Re: Is this VV-230 Circassian Walnut?
Thanks as always for all your kind words.
I’m shocked after having this in my living room for 6 years on a heavy duty shelf, where the lid was just inches from the ceiling, that only today, did I realized it could be Circassian.
What’s so cool about the purchase of this was that I bought this from a Wayne, who got it from his dad Wayne. However, when I asked the grandson Wayne, if he would want his dad to not sell it and to save it for him, he looked up from his Gameboy thingy, and nodded a very strong no. To note, I’ve always been in sort of a “Wayne’s World”. Though my dad, Wayne, did not get me into phonographs, his working at RCA for 25 years, and myself being born in Camden NJ, certainly secured my fate.

Wayne,
That is one beautiful victrola!
I saw a 230 in CW at the Wayne, NJ show about 5 years ago.
It was pre-sold to someone who was picking it up there.
I couldn't stop thinking about how beautiful it was!

My gf says she sees an angel in the wood grain on the lid’s underside. Complete with hands, wings, face, and halo. Circassian patterns are really extra cool when they look like something.
