Columbia Gramafonola UPDATE
Hey all, thought I would grab my trusty extendable Magnet and swipe along the bottom of the body. Low and behold, found the "lock", now I just need to put it back together. Fingers crossed all will work once reassembled!! Any tips would be great. And yes I know it's called a Grafonola but my 9 yr old calls it a Gramafonola! Hopefully after hearing it play maybe he will put down his Ipod for a while, won't hold my breath though!!
Thanks,
Trevor

Re: Columbia Gramafonola UPDATE
Hi Bill, so after putting it all back together, first crank and it "popped" again. The long cylindracal piece where the gear meets and locks looks like it had failed. I can only surmise that it was over cranked one too many times and the steel became fatigued.
Thinking I'm going to have to source this part out unless you can help with any tips?? Pretty sure it will happen again if I try to repair it.
