Hi
Just for further interest, I have included a photograph of the shop from which the three phonographs came and also a photograph of one of the brothers who used larger machines to give concerts. I do not have the phonograph shown in this photograph but I do have four of the large concert disks shown supporting the phonograph. The shop owner would have a local artist create advertising posters for the shop window, one of which you can see in the photograph, I am fortunate to have two examples of these advertising posters, unfortunately not the one shown in the photograph but they are all based on a similar theme. If anyone would like to see the posters I am happy to post a couple of images, if this is the right place.

Awesome! Thank you for sharing. Do you have dates for the photos?

Hi
The one showing the concert phonograph and cylinders has a postage mark for 1904, so I think would just be before this date. He would pull a cart through the town advertising what was on offer, I have included an original advertising card showing the cart and what the shop offered at the time.
Regards

The photo of the shop window must be at least from 1911, as it shows a version of the picture from the Scott Expedition.

Hi Bill
I think you are right I can see the word 'South' on the poster and the subject would seem to be as you suggest. I have included a couple of images of the posters I have on the European Machine forum, they also hung in the window. The two songs they advertise were published in sheet music around 1909 so these will probably date from a similar period. I think the 'John Willie Come On' may have been sung by George Formby Senior as he was from Lancashire.
