Hello! New to the hobby.
Hello the forum. I just acquired a Victrola VV 4-40 wind-up and I'm looking to chat with any members familiar with these wonderful devices. I'm new to the hobby but I can see it getting addictive. Mine works but the tonearm support is crumbling. Can someone guide me towards a replacement?

Welcome to the Forum and the hobby. The Forum is a great place for both new and seasoned collectors. You can replace your crumbling tone arm support from Ron Sitko and his contact info can be found in the "Links" section of our Forum.

Hello, and welcome to the forum!
I second the suggestion using Ron Sitko There are different sizes, and he'll ask for some measurements regarding the screw holes in the base.
The old base material has to be removed from the tone arm, and that can be a royal pain. Ron may be able to do the replacement at extra cost if you mail him your old base assembly.
He is best contacted by phone (no email address) evenings: (518) 371-8549
Leave a message if necessary. He's really good!
Good luck!
Bob

If you have half the fun I've had over the last 37 years in this hobby you're in for a lot of good times. So many machines so little time (money too). Yes addictive but to quote a song(sort of) if there's a cure for this I don't want it! To..... just to much fun. Enjoy it. Neil
