Straight blue Edison Triumph 12 panel phonograph horn

Hello all
This horn was purchased on our honey moon 25 years ago from an antique shop. It came with a model B Home phonograph. Stunning original condition the horn has 12 panels. I also have an original green and black painted horn and those are also 12 panel. I assume these were made here in Australia.

Well, Edison was a good friend of Henry Ford, so maybe Henry told him to offer Americans any color they like, as long as it’s black. Does anyone know what other colors were available in Australia and other countries? Nice horn.

I seem to remember seeing a green horn in Jean-Paul Agnard's collection.

Here are some pictures of the other colours available. There are four but the blue I have in two tones. These are Gem horns.
The maroon cygnet horn is the colour I have seen here the most but I have not seen this colour in any other horn other than the cygnet.
I picked up a cygnet horn bell only that has been done like the red gem horn. The decals on the cygnet horns say "standard".

Seeing the blue color Gem horn reminded of an early morning almost 30 years ago when I was walking briskly around the Brimfield Massachusetts antique show searching for phonographs, parts and so forth.

It was the Autumn antique show in Brimfield and it was a cool crisp morning with the sun was just coming up. Dealers were gathered in small groups near tents with steaming coffee in hand getting ready for the day. At that time I'd only been collecting for a couple of years and my knowledge of phonographs was, admittedly, limited to the few reference books on phonographs I had. I poked my head into one large tent where a couple of dealers were setting their stuff on tables. In the distance I immediately noticed a miniature blue horn that was mounted on an Edison Fireside on a stand. I quickly ran over and examined the setup. I'd never seen or heard of a blue Gem horn and so I concluded it was a repainted horn. At that time I was REALLY looking for an Edison phonograph with the banner decal. Since dealers were just beginning to open their tents I quickly left the tent and moved on to other dealers who were just opening.

About 15 minutes later I ran into a friend and fellow phonograph collector. Of course, he and I were also friendly competitors as well. He asked me if I'd seen anything yet...

"Well, only a Fireside with a small blue Gem horn."
"And did you GET IT?!!"
"No...why? I figured the horn was repainted and so I passed on it."
"WELL, WHERE IS IT? You should've GRABBED it. That COULD BE one of those 'overseas mail order' horns you never find here in the US."
"Oh boy...THAT figures. It's probably gone by now."

We retraced my path back to the tent. By then there were a LOT of people in the tent. The Fireside was still there and we ran up to it. There was a big SOLD tag on it now. RATS!

All these years later and lots of phonographs in the collection and I've never found another blue Gem horn.
