Using Romfi - part 1

Post by Sidewinder »

This weekend I will post my new Graphophone BM onto ROMFI. In another post, some people mentioned that ROMFI was difficult to use. I think just the contrary, so I thought I would do this post to ROMFI with comments so the 'unbelievers' ;) can follow. The system has been around for a while and once one uses it a few times one can begin to understand all the benefits.

The BM

If you look here you will see a list of Columbia models

http://www.romfi.com/category.cfm?Category=2!A]%23XL%28OPWT-S%2C4%29%3D_L.^!JE%0A&CFID=348300&CFTOKEN=44760846

and at the placeholder for
COLUMBIA Phono Co. 1906 Graphophone Model BM Home Premier

it states "no detailed information yet"

However, just 1 step back: in order to submit an object one needs a user ID & password. ROMFI used to be quite strict on this with an algorithm that checked that there was a logical connection between your name / country & phone number. When I first tried to get user access I typed in a fantasy name like Micky Mouse and 1233456 as a phone number, and received no user access.
Make sure you type in a valid email address as the password is sent via email

So tomorrow, what I will do is press the button "Click to add detail"
