And I can’t seem to find a single one where I live! I’m Lucky enough to have the works of a Standard Model X!

Incredible find there and in really good shape. My V.3. is serial number 883 and looks exactly like yours in every respect except one detail... My Exibition has the thumb screw needle lock, not the lever. Otherwise they are identical. I'm thinking both of our phonos are "Early Victor IIIs" - closer to 1904 since they have the tapered tone arm - which appeared in early 1904, have very low serial numbers, and the bullet brake on the motor board has a 2-piece base. The later VIC IIIs have a single piece base under the brake. I will be posting a complete set of photos of mine once it is all back together. Its being restored now.

A friend from Facebook posted this from the Victor Data Book. Kinda confused now as to the date of mine:

Victor Data book shows the VicIII type M from 1906-1910, starting at serial number 2. Models previous to that had cranks that came out toward the front and were constructed with a flat drop.. Earlier motors were bevel drive gears.
If it is a type A, (1909 to 1913) it would have had a cast iron TT and a speed control with S and F on it as opposed to the blank one on the M. Serial numbers on the A started at 501.. By 1913, they had the type B with a 5/16"" female crank where earlier M and B had ¼" female cranks.
The B no longer had the bullet brake found on the M and A.
